We invite you for a 9 - days journey in Ticino (CH) with theatre, improvisation, dance, group- and outdooractivities.
We wish to create a container that allows you to slow down. And to take a pause. To facilitate self care and nourishing social connection. So creative curiosity can arise from a place of ease and honesty.
From there we will dare to show ourselves. Enjoying the time and freedom to try out and to go wild. Received by the group with generosity and support.
The rivers and mountains will be there, as a source for regeneration and inspiration. And our bodies will be the base. Our homeground for exploration.
*AFAB: people who share the common experience of being assigned with the category "female" at birth.

Structure and Content
Each day there will be several guided sessions held by the facilitators ( Link zum Team).
They will work with tools from theatre, mask work, dance, improvisation, experiential and wilderness education and bodywork. Through this, we will establish a common ground for our exploration.
There will also be timeframes for research along your own curiosities. Co-created frames and explorative performing in front of the group will also be part of the programm.
Two people from the team have a therapeutic background and will bring in some frames that allow to deepen self- and group awareness and connect different layers of your experience for yourself and within the group.

For Whom
All creatures that have made the experience of being assigned with the category “female” at birth.
From there your gender journeys might have led you to various nuances of performing gender. Welcome!
We wish to create a safe container that allows us to show ourselves in our diversity.
And at the same time gives the possibility to relate to each other, knowing we have made a common experience of being addressed as “female”.
Using this category AFAB is an experiment for us as a team. Together with you we will research where this category feels supportive and where limiting.

Co-Creation
We invite people, who feel curiosity to explore their individual source and joy for creative expression and their connection with nature. Who are interested in the topic of empowerment from a queer feminist perspective and who would like to be an active part of the group.
There will be the possibility to perform/ show yourself in front of the group. (optional)
During the project everyone will have around 2 shifts of 3-4 hours to support our daily life structure. The work will be in the kitchen cutting veggies, preparing breakfast, cleaning toilets or ringing the bell.
Please come with your own motivation, a bit of courage to try things out and a sip of self-responsibility to create yourself the journey that you hope for. <3
Location & Logistics
We will be in “Kaiopoli”, an artist and circus place in Ticino (CH).
It is situated in a small village in the midst of the mountains, close to a river and surrounded by the jungle like forest of Ticino.
We will have an indoor space for creative exploration, movement and group processes.
And broad nature around for outdoor activities.
The train station “Camedo” is reachable by foot in 5 minutes.
Accommodation and Food
We will be camping in our tents on a meadow next to the venue. The kitchen will be partly inside and outside. And there is our great heatable indoor group space for focused research.
Miri, our experienced cook will coordinate the kitchen and prepare 3 delicious vegan meals per day. Sometimes there will be a vegetarian option. Everyone will have shifts to support the food creation and cleaning : )
Financials
This project is funded by movetia: A great suisse organisation, helping to realise international exchange projects for young people. You find more information here: https://www.movetia.ch/
If you are until 30, based in Switzerland, Germany and Italy you can apply for a funded spot. And pay a total contribution of 150 CHF for the 9 days. Including food, accommodation and the programm. You will also receive a refund for your travel expenses.
If you are oldern than 30, or living in another country, you are very welcome to join aswell!
You will pay a higher contribution (starting from 450 Chf) or you can apply for limited helper spots (250 chf).
